March Mini Haul: Hair care

I am a natural hair enthusiast, so could not do a birthday haul without picking up a few natural hair goodies.

Felicia Leatherwood Detangling Brush

I use to own a Denman Brush and when that got old used combs. I’ve really wanted to try another brush since then and I’ve heard a lot of good things about this brush. So far I’ve used it one to detangle in the shower. It is easy to use and clean. I think I may need to even do another Tools Round Up at the end of this year, because I’ve falling in love with this brush. It is very easy to detangle and it is a natural girls dream.

TGIN Green Tea Super Moist Leave in Conditioner

I bought the Leave in from SimplyMoi

This is an oldie, but goodie. If you are familiar, with this blog, this product is nothing new. It is my favourite leave in conditioner, I use it for all styles. It makes my hair feel moisturised without weighing it down or making it greasy. A little definitely goes a long way. It last be 3-4 months. I am a believer in buying good quality hair an skin products, because use often have to use less because th products are so concentrated, which means they last tonger and cost less in the long run. (Yes, I have to talk about the long run, I can’t let years of Economics go to waste)

They launched a limited edition pink label for Breast Cancer Awareness, this is why I love the brand even more.

Mielle Pomegranate and Honey Twisting Soufflé

I bought the Soufflé from BeautyByZara

This is new to my line up of products. It is part of the new Mielle Organics line (Pomegranate and Honey targeted at kinky coily hair. I have finished some of my other styles. Entwine Couture Crème Jelle Styler is bomb. I also tried TGIN Twist and Define Cream, that is very nearly finished. I wanted to take the opportunity to try something new, I haven’t tried anything from Mielle before, but I’ve heard their product line is very good.

The twisting Soufflé made it to Mane Objective’s Best Moisturisers of 2017, so I had to get my hands on this product.

I had to wait to try the twisting souffle, because I have to finish or nearly finished a product before I buy another product that serves the same function. I create this rule for myself in order to avoid product junkism.  I don’t need PJ (Product Junkie) Syndrome in my life. No one has time or the budget for that. I may be a natural hair enthusiast, but natural hair does not pay my bills and all products are bought with my hard earned pounds.

When it comes to buying natural hair products, I either buy from SimplyMoi or BeautyByZara. Price wise they are very similar, my choice mainly depends on availability of the product. The items I buy often sold out, my purchase goes to whoever has the item in stock.
